Welcome to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Explore the zoo's conservation efforts and learn about various animal species.

Get up close with cougars, tigers, and leopards at Cat Canyon and marvel at the gentle giants in the Elephant Reserve.

Afternoon: Have lunch together at one of the zoo’s dining facilities, like Hops, their popular restaurant overlooking Roo Valley.

Stop at Birds of the World to sight winged wonders, be charmed by ring-tailed lemurs at Lemur Lookout, and get creepy-crawly at the Reptile House.

Don’t forget to wind through the beautiful botanical gardens before you end your visit!

Evening: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, perhaps a bowl of Cincinnati’s famous Skyline Chili.

Wrap up your day with a live performance at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, a city hub of culture and the arts.

Check in at your hotel and spend a restful night.

Day 2: Science and History Exploration

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and depart for the Cincinnati Museum Center.

This one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex is housed in Union Terminal, a historic Art Deco train station and National Historic Landmark. With multiple museums inside, including a Library and Archives and an OMNIMAX® Theater, Museum Center is the largest cultural institution in the city of Cincinnati.

Afternoon: Have lunch at a local eatery.

Step back in time as you take a tour of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

Begin your visit with Suite for Freedom, a brief orientation film. Then, see the sobering Slave Pen, built in the early 1800s and later recovered from a nearby farm for display in Cincinnati.

See the first permanent exhibit of its kind, Invisible: Slavery Today and learn about what modern slavery looks like, including thoughtful education on human trafficking.

Evening: Have dinner at a neighborhood restaurant.

End your day with a riverwalk along the Cincinnati Riverfront and see the historic John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. Created by the same architect who designed New York’s Brooklyn Bridge, this was once the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Day 3: Arts and Culture

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check out.

Spend your last morning at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Learn about a renowned artist and discover the cultural significance of art in certain areas of the world. From ancient African art to contemporary art with multimedia components, there is something for every artistic taste.
