Insurance: Students are recommended that they purchase a health insurance in their home country. In general, it is more expensive to purchase an insurance in the U.S.
Accommodation: If students arranged accommodation, make sure the students carry the accommodation information such as an address and phone number and review all the rules before departure.
Weather: Students are recommended to learn about the average climate of their destination and bring appropriate clothing.
Medications: Remember that they pack all medications from their home country and the prescriptions.
Documents: A passport for both full-time and part-time students /An appropriate visa/A Form I-20 if they arrive on an F-1 visa (They are recommended to have copies of all important documents.)
Port of Entry: They must report to Zoni as soon as they enter the U.S.
First Day of School: F-1 visa students (full-time students with a Form I-20) must bring/provide the following on the first day of school:
Accommodation: The students are strongly advised to contact their accommodation provider upon their arrival.
Second Placement Exam: Both part-time and full-time students may be required to take the 2nd Placement Exam if necessary. The students must have an interview with an academic advisor to finalize their schedule before starting. The 1st Placement Exam must be taken at the time of a non-refundable registration fee payment. (Effective March 2023).
