Full job description: Academic Lead

Zoni's Academic Leads are instructional leaders providing guidance and mentorship to their teachers. They provide coaching, training, and mentoring for their faculty teaching Zoni programs to support instructional excellence at our schools. Academic Leads are responsible for directing and coordinating all academic processes regarding classroom activities, teachers’ attendance, training, performance appraisals, second language instruction and administrative duties of the academic department

Position Overview:
Academic Management:
Direct and coordinate all day-to-day academic and administrative activities
Manage initiation of new courses and maintain a calendar for new classes
Monitor all teaching activities in the classroom and ensure all classes are delivered following Zoni’s teaching philosophy and methodology
Review and approve teacher’s lesson plans

Performance Management:
Observe teachers and prepare classroom observation reports
Hire new teachers and conduct coaching and training in compliance to Zoni’s standards

Trainings and Culture Management:
Conduct all in-service training activities such as: co-teaching/demo-teaching/coaching, meetings, host inter-campus workshops, committees, and curriculum
Promote and maintain a positive campus atmosphere and a pleasant work environment for employees and a pleasant study environment for students

Managerial Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with other Zoni campuses and area schools which are open and cooperative
Develop and implements customer service and public relation activities that will result in campus growth


  • Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
    Degree in Education, Communication or any related field
    Master's in TESOL highly preferred
  • TEFL, ESOL TESOL certificate, teaching practicum CELTA/Trinity or equivalent
    At least 120-hour certification is required
  • At least 2 years of experience managing ESL or educational program with supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and evaluating staff

Monday through Thursday
Mornings: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Evenings: 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Sundays: 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM
*Slight adjustments possible subject to academic operations
